After seeing the Red Bull Driftbrothers tear up the driveway of Goodwood House we found Driver Johannes Hountondji and Lead Engineer Kevin Hettel in the paddock who gave us some more in depth info with how these incredible G82 M4's can produce 1000bhp, and what it's like to drift up the prestigious Goodwood Hill Climb at Festival of Speed.

I am enjoying the videos from Evolve.

I think more cars should have quad exhausts aft of the C-pillar.

I'm guessing the front car got their bumper clipped around 3:53? Nice showing, though.

Awesome vid. Amazing to see all of that power they're able to make on the stock block.

Man, as much as what this guy explained, sounds legit, it just doesn't sound possible. Especially since there is people making quite a bit less power, and sprinkling engine parts all over the roadway.

They don't care about part throttle driving so the whole set up is an efficient as possible (especially the cylinder heads) so they require less boost to get to 1000 BHP. He does explain that they got nearly 200 BHP from the headwork alone when the car was around 800 BHP.

On a road car which you want to drive normally on part throttle you wouldn't be able to set it up this way and would need lots of boost which would then over stress the rod and result in the picture you have posted.

200bhp from headwork is pretty crazy.

It's incredible to see how stout & solid these S58 engines truly are. Even in the simple & conservative factory trim!
