Chipped paint on door

Insurance wants to paint the whole door over for these small chips. They came from a door of another car at a parking lot. It would cost me 230 dollars. My concern is that when they paint the whole door over, it would be a slightly different hue than the rest? The garage uses original OEM paint.

Would it make sense to bring the car to a detailer who would just do a patch job for 50 bucks? The chips really aren't that big, is it really worth it to do the whole door over?

Painting the entire door is nuts.

I might have misunderstood first. They came back to me stating they'd only paint the chipped areas, but apply lacquer to the whole door again to make it even.

Lacquer is paint, so that still doesn't make sense.

Brits use lacquer to mean any kind of paint and or clear, so I think in this instance they mean touch up the rock chips then clear the entire door
