BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
I have ordered my M3 6MT back in November 2021. The car has been built in the Munich plant in April 2022 and is now ready for delivery at the BMW Welt in Munich.

In the recent years and before Covid I have read a lot of threads on Bimmerpost about the ED experience. Unfortunately BMW does not offer ED anymore to customers in the US and Canada. Thats why I would like to share with you my first delivery in the BMW mothership.

Growing up in the 70s and 80s I became an absolute BMW fanboy. My dad used to own several BMW back in the day: 2002, E12, E28, E30 and E46.
My second car was a 1986 E30 in grey metallic with BBS wheels followed by E83, E85, E89 and E90 and a Mini Cooper S.

The M3 will be the successor to my 2020 Tesla Model 3 Performance.

After taking delivery today I will head down to the Austrian Alps for a few days.

Thank you for getting a manual! I picked mine up in Wurzburg. They gave me a hotel and everything. Glad you got that experience. Did you choose to have the regular badges instead of the 50ty anniversary?

Sounds like a good package and that you had a great experience, too. I have bought an E90 a decade ago at the Bavarian/Rhein dealership in Würzburg. Thank you, the manual was the main reason why I have ordered the M3. When I ordered the car back in November 2021 the 50th Anniversary badges were not available. I think the normal badges will suit better with the sapphire black color.

Congratulations! Looks beautiful and of course the first thing I noticed was the manual shifter! I haven't seen one of those in a while.

Great post, great color, great car, and most of all great transmission!

I am SO glad I got one ED in before they stopped this wonderful program. I really hope BMW reinstates it for NA.

This has always been a dream of mine, and I'm pretty upset I won't be able to fulfill it living in the us.

Regardless, congratulations, and welcome to the G80 manual club!

Thank you all! The drive down to the Austrian Alps was a blast.
I have taken the first two pics at the M GmbH headquarters in Garching. Unfortunately I have used the crappy camera from my iPad and there was a fence between me and the G87.
In the Munich plant I saw quite a few G80, but still pre-LCI. There were also chassis parts from the G81 touring. No signs from the 2023 LCI so far.
Here are some more pictures from the M3 in Austria side-by-side to our dog and grocery hauler our Volvo XC60. Today we will drive back home to Frankfurt, Germany. PPF is scheduled for next week.

My car was ordered in January 2022 and at that time the badges weren't available also. But because my car is produced in April, BMW automatically put the Anniversary Badges on my car. I didn't ask for this.

Luckily it looks great on my Skyscraper Grey F40.

Awesome thread and congrats on the new car.

Can you get me a part number off the box for the key ring?

Thanks!
