I wonder if they are holding off on revealing the whole car without the wrap (which we saw the rear portion of in a previous video) until the "LCI" 3-series/m3 has been revealed. It's possible that other demo unit has the interior+exterior changes they don't want filmed.

Impressive the amount of detail to fine tune comfort, sport and sport-plus. When I'm at the Ring with BMW M, max setting is sport for engine and transmission, never sport plus. Steering is preferred at comfort level.

When it was slightly lifted it looked like an x3m. US buyers can just slam an x3m for the same effect lol

I caught that this one is xDrive - it makes sense now that I think about it, but I was really hopeful for a stick wagon M3. I have a strong feeling the Touring will be xDrive only...

Then the Audi A6. The last one offered here was the Allroad, which again, is a nice car but who wants an off-roader wagon? MB has enjoyed quite a bit of success with the E-class wagon, and Audi seems to be selling as many RS6s as they can route this way. I'm on a waiting list for one and don't expect to get it until H2-2023 the earliest. I believe that if BMW was to offer the M3 Touring over here for a price comparable to the sedan it would sell like hotcakes. I would certainly want one. |

I'd probably sell the x5m for this.

What I am hoping is that since this would not be a wagon for the average consumer, but a performance vehicle that would be of interest to a niche customer segment, BMW can see an opportunity to give the M3 Touring a shot over here too. While I love my X5 among other things for its convenience and trunk space, I would love having the opportunity to combine a wagon's trunk space with the performance and low center of mass of an M3 even more: for me it would be a totally killer combo. I guess we'll see soon enough which way BMW chooses to go! |
