Hey guys , I finally got my car back yesterday from the PPF shop, they did an absolutely phenomenal job and fulfilled all my requests , every single piece on this car is PPFed including all the trim panels and gloss parts. All of the matte paint is PPFed in stealth , gloss parts and carbon fiber parts in gloss XPEL PPF. They removed all the trim, emblems and taillights in order to get the PPF completely hidden so the edges and breaks don't show. A lot of people told me that the STEALTH ppf will alter the satin finish, but that was completely wrong. PPF made absolutely no difference to the paint and it seems like there's no ppf on it at all. I'm very satisfied and for those who are on the edge whether or not to PPF you frozen car in stealth, hopefully this will help you decide.

Damn that is perfect! I'm considering a stealth PPF as well with regular on the gloss bits.

did you debate between STEK and XPEL at all? Thanks

It was a no brainer for me , I only considered XPEL, I've had XPEL before and the film quality is fantastic and it's thicker than most other brands on the market. With that said though, I've never seen STEK in person so I don't know much about STEK products

Was this a precut or custom job? Some of the seams look questionable but overall looks like a solid job as long as you drove away happy

From what he told me he used pre-cut pieces on certain parts, but most of it was custom. It's really hard to tell from pictures , if you could see it in person, you'll really be able to tell they did a phenomenal job, you only see seams on the front bumper really, everything else is completely wrapped under all the trim, so you don't even see any seams

Yes I did, definitely take it to him if you're thinking about getting PPF.

Yea man, PPF is very expensive, especially when you do the whole car. But it's so worth it , gives you a piece of mind, especially with matte paint.

I already know Tobias does the best work in the area. Unfortunately he was booked up when I bought my G80 so I had to go somewhere else for PPF.

I'm planning on going stealth and I already know that I'll be heading to Foilsta.

Yea lol I know the feeling, I waited 9 months for my car, then he told me he was fully booked until early April, so I didn't drive the car for a month after I picked it up, it just sat in the garage until I took it in for PPF 😅😂😂

I also had Foilsta do my PPF. It's almost invisible and I have to really look for it to find the edges. He did my tint too.

I waited 5 months for delivery but I reached out to him way in advance. If you order from Euler, they have a good relationship with him.

Foilsta should be moving into a bigger shop soon, in Ramstein.

PPF on frozen gray won't change the factory satin finish. Darker colors and frozen white won't show any difference. My Frozen blue on the other hand was completely changed when PPF was applied. Car looks great

I had my first G80 done by Foilsta but my second will be done with another vendor that beat Tobi's price by 40% and also uses XPEL. He also does a fantastic job based on customer and friends feedback. I also saw some of his work as well and it's just as good or better than Tobi's.
