Some states in the us have front and back plates too

Would you be able to share more detail as to how you mounted your front plate? Did you use plastic spacers (and if so, what dimensions etc.)?

Thanks! Yes they were little plastic spacers. Pretty tiny. The dealership supplied and mounted for me. Probably only 0.25cm thick
