iDrive Charging App

Does this app in iDrive actually do anything?

Mine does not work - it states that a BMW charging account is not linked to the profile (it is). I’ve asked BMW about this and in normal fashion their reply is “dunno mate”.

Am I wasting my time trying to get it to work; does it even do anything?

What are you hoping it will do for you? BMW used to offer a BMW Charging Service that was linked to BMW EVSEs. Like most IT software that BMW develops, it was rather clunky and not always reliable.

I have no idea what it might do for me. It doesn’t work, in the U.K. at least. If I were able to get it working I would be able to appraise it’s usefulness and decide whether I want to use it. As it is, it just sits there pretending to offer me features.

Exactly! What is the purpose of it and is it useful?!

Does not in the UK, had been told it was for plug and charge in some territories, not sure though if it is or isn't.
