We had a great gathering this past weekend with 9 G8x owners showing up to show off their builds. We came from all corners of the Bay Area: from the north in Marin County, from the east in the Sacramento area, and from as far south as San Jose. We all met in San Ramon, CA, for a first time meet and greet and gawked at each other's rides.

The terrific, and yet perhaps most obvious thing with these kinds of meetups: a shared enthusiasm for the ///M brand bringing interesting people together! These cars are fantastically engineered and sculpted machines that we all have the privilege of owning and driving. Such a cool thing for us all to share that together.

The meetup's goal was to meet face to face and then take a cruise around the beautiful SF Bay Area and get some lunch in Sausalito. Let's just say...we went about 16 or so miles until a lot of us were lost(!). Blame the power of the ///M gas pedal! (Note: guys, we gotta do better at sticking together next time. ��)

Ultimately, most of us ended up getting lunch together and learned a bit more about who's behind those amazing wheels. A damn good get together indeed and I think we can all agree we made some new friends.

Not only is this inspiring human still driving cars despite a wheelchair, he's driving not one, but two badass M cars. And he's sporting carbon bucket seats as well!

A great day for us all, and surely just the beginning. We've got 12 cars lined up for the next meet, and likely approaching 16 as more folks signal that they want to join.

Thanks for pointing that out! I didn't have the bimmerpost app but just downloaded it and saw the issue. After some sleuthing I figured out the Instagram links were breaking the page. Weird. Just corrected it and added more images.

I used to hit meets all the time but that ship has sailed as of late...

But with the G8X; I think its cool since I saw more G8X's here than I do in real life even in the OC.
