I find it interesting that his dealership reached out to him and asked him if he wanted to upgrade to the xDrive model. Something tells me this dealership wanted some advertising.

I think Joe was always gonna swap out to an xdrive and his dealer will be all too happy to be part of that process too. Sounds like Joe brings them plenty of new orders off the back of his vids.

Do the front arches on the rear wheels on the G80 get sandblasted like on the F80 where the factory installed clearbra was too small? Did BMW up the clearbra size perhaps? Otherwise get some of your own PPF on those hips asap.

Love that Blue color.

It's crazy to me he's going to change again when the touring comes out. I really don't get the love with station wagons. I don't care if it's an M or RS etc. wagons do not look good to me.

I get the impression that wagons are cool because theyre daddy cool or something?!

No younger person without a family or without a need for luggage space is gonna buy one right?? and usually the only people earning enough $ to buy a fast Wagon are older often near middle-aged people (usually guys) who only option is a fast wagon because of family commitments. So its kinda created this daddy cool image for wagons like the RS4/RS6 etc.

Often men who have mancaves, garages, cellars of man stuff, tools etc.....see a fast wagon as the ultimate do everything cool on wheels motor. Gives them a kinda street cred knowing that they can mix it with most cars outhere while transporting the kids and theyre all their stuff.

I wouldnt personally.

Can only think that Joe will be opting for the Wagon because it'll be unique as an M wagon and will generate some decent numbers hitting the like button.

Me as well. Have two girls (5 and 9) and seems like we're the only family surviving without a wagon 🤣

I can see that if it's your only car but id keep the M3 and get a Used MDX A Spec for family duties. Those look great blacked out but I'm sure this move will be for more content. YouTubers need to keep buying different cars to keep the money coming

I think when the Touring comes out, it will be the one most in demand.

The wife's car fills the functional role. Mine leans far more towards passion.

Had a hot hatch(mercedes A45 amg) and it was totally functional
And quick.
But it was just that, functional
The m4 feels more purpose built

Not the only one! Have a 2 year old son, have had the F36 for more than 4 years now and still love it!

The G81 will be a looker though, right up on the very to part of my wanted list.

He did the right choice (it seems he often drives on bad roads / bad weather). In my area MxDrive / xDrive makes sense during winter even if ground clearance could be a problem (if there is too much snow).

Having loved the original RS2/RS4/RS6 as well as the E34 M5 Touring since I was a kid, a manual, G81 would be the dream daily driver. Well, actually, a manual, Alpina B3 Touring would be the dream. I like the looks and the practicality combination.

Almost bought a B6 S4 Avant once until my research showed where the timing chain assembly was. That idea was swiftly abandoned following that revelation.
