That video confirms all the reasons why I purchased an M4 convertible; the power, the looks, the handling and the sound. A beautiful complete piece of automotive machinery.

I don't think northern europeans will ever understand convertibles.

Cold climate and convertibles aren't made for each other. So, makes sense

Very hot climate and convertibles aren't made for each other either.
Rented an Mustang convertible during my holiday in California and in Florida. But it was way too hot during the day to lower the roof.

Nothing to understand here. Not suitable climate and lack of protection of private property. Not to mention depreciation.

I imported a Le Mans Blue/Cream 330i E93 last summer from Germany, and I live in Oslo, Norway 😅. The car is sleeping 5 minutes away in a garage at my parents house, and I am looking forward to spring-time 😎

Heh, I drove a convertible for 3 years in Houston. Loved it. You just don't use it during the summer. It's a Spring / Fall season for open top motoring. And Summer evenings. And sunny winter days with the windows up and the wind deflector in place.

I sold my 911 cab because the kids couldn't fit in the back. have a coupe, but they don't fit well there any more. Definitely considering an M4 cab now that they brought back the soft top.

For probably not much more money, you can get a relatively base 430i convertible and an M3 xdrive.

My preferred car, BMW vert, living near the beach. It's a 12 month drop down car. Yes, it's hot and humid in the deep south during the summer, but that's why I spec'd the normal M seats for the fan cooled seats. Winter time again need the normal M seats to spec the neck warmer. If I was going for CF seats, then the M4 coupe. But as I do my track training with the BMW Driving Experience over in Germany I don't lose much with the heavier vert, nor would I track a leased car here in the States.

I ordered a E93 M3 via military sales when I was last stationed in Germany and now have a G83 on order for the current tour in Germany.

I stored the E93 in the winters and will do the same with the M4.

My only issue with the car is the rear lights. It's like they need an Lci version to complete it.
