Performance Non-Run flat Tire in winter

Hey guys. Just got my car recently, I ordered the performance non run flat options.

Would I really not able to drive during winter? (Texas) however seems like sometime temp goes to 32 degrees.

Pirelli P Zero 255/35/R19

Using the car as daily driver, but just thinking if I really have to buy a sets of all seasons/winter tires. I do sometime plan to go north as well.

I really not a car guy, appreciate any help.

Not a huge car guy either, but for what it's worth I lived in Houston for 6 years and never had a problem driving on my sport non run flat tires. I'm not sure if this matters though, but at the time I had Michelin Sport tires…

If you're in DFW and don't have a secondary car you MAY want the all seasons, depending on how frequently you need to drive in town and up north in the winter

I'll let the experts chime in now..

Yeah. Austin, also research a bit.
Somewhere it says summer tires also not so great in rains.

I live in Dallas. Run summer tires or r compound on everything. Every car I’ve owned has been RWD. There’s like two days a year where I can’t drive.

Pzeros and Pilot Sports are fine in the rain. Just drive 65 instead of 85.

I guess I want my driving to be flexible. Sometime I might want to drive my car back to the north or just relocate completely.

Yeah. Maybe I should thinking about getting a set of winter tires or just get a all season tires and be done with.

I really don't want to just switch back and forth every yeah, seems like a lot of work. (Also I have no clue how I supposed to keep the other set.)

I've had many cars with Summer tires (performance non-run flats).

Below 45 degrees they become very hard and loose most of their traction. They'll be downright dangerous in snow if you get any. I live in the north east and swap my summer tires out for dedicated snows every year.

I had 2 different E46 coupes in northern NJ. Swapped out every early Dec into 4 all-season tires & wheels due to Cold temps.. not so much for snow which I rarely drove in

Performance tires below 40 degrees get very hard & slick.. not safe

Its really not that hard if you maintain a dedicated set. Swapping wheels takes 7-10 min each with the right tools once you have them

A/S were an option. Just depends on what spec you bought/ordered. My 240 came with Pirelli all season run flats.

They're an option but they also change a few things to the order. The wheels and tires are no longer staggered widths and you can't get option 840, the high speed limiter.

I know, my ordered car has them too. I was wondering about Ultra High Performance A/S's specifically. Seems they'd be a better compromise.
