MAD Downpipes Installed on G80 M3, First impressions & sounds

Hello everyone,

I have recently installed the MAD downpipes that I got from Euroklasse. The price of $399 was very enticing. The welds on the pipes were good and the fitment was spot on. I also got some 02 mini cat spacers to deal with the CEL and so far so good. I did have my shop, EuroMpire weld some 02 bungs on the end of the spacer so the 02 sensor would not hit the mini cat. I have some sound clips in the video below.

It's crazy how downpipes make the exhaust note sound just more!

James, great stuff again.... so you kept the mini secondary cats on I see! How many miles since the install and any cel's at all?

CEL's just annoy me visually

Edit: I already have both resonators out so adding this might be insanely loud!!!!!

Which 02 spacer setup did you go with? the 90 degree angled or straight version?

I have driven over 100 miles and no CEL yet. I am thinking about removing one of the resonators and seeing how that sounds.

We shall see.

My shop did dp's and pulled both resonators = honda civic

so i am scared...

Sounds great, thanks for taking the time. I picked up the same set of pipes and was looking at those mini-cats, but wasn't sure if they'd fit when installed. Appreciate the legwork!

LOL I worry about the same. From my time in the S54 world, resonators seem to take the edge off the buzz/rasp so I'm keen to let them do their job. AA says they're working on a single mid pipe with a resonator, I think that might be the ticket

So because Ive already pulled both resonators but have the factory dps and secondaries, Im going to just do an axle back but of course, that shit is impossible to source right now with all the supply chain bs.

I did find a custom shop in Huntington Beach which makes exhausts for the E92 (sound great) and they have built one for the G80; I might be the huckleberry.

How's the fuel smell with these catless dps? Do you notice it more at idle?

Yeah I think the Remus axle back would be the way to go.

Since I still have the secondary cats still in, I have not smelled much at all at this point. I think the car would need to be running in one spot for an extended period of time to smell anything.

I also already have everything else in the exhaust removed….

I'm slightly frightened to pull the trigger on this install.

Cold start will be insane without a doubt.

Mad DP's in route. PSI mid pipe installed currently. I too have a feeling this is going to be insanely loud... BUT Im in LA and between the flame throwing SVJ's and the straight pipes Mclarens, Im not too worried. Just want to know what its going to sound like.

Im going to order the mini cats for the CEL but the ecu is shortly heading to FEMTO to be unlocked and then deleted.
