Anything non-standard about the type 2 socket?

Hi all, I need to get hold of an adapter to convert my tethered type 1 wallbox cable to type 2. Some of the adapters seem to suggest they are not compatible with BMW - do you think this refers to the i3, or is there something bespoke about the ix3 type 2 port?

MSport Pro being delivered Friday so want to be ready - would really appreciate any advice or if anyone can recommend an adapter?!

Type 2 is type 2, there should be no difference whatsoever as far as I'm aware…

Just replace the whole cable and connector with a Type 2.
