trunk "liner" inadequate

I just got in the trunk liner. I am definitely not sure why they thought covering only 2/3 of the trunk area was sufficient. I understand wanting to allow trunk access to the battery, but considering the liner isn't stiff, one can bend it out of the way if needed.

If and when weathertech comes out with a more substantial insert I will definitely be reselling this one.

I guess I kind of figured it would line the entire circumference of the trunk so if a container spilled it would be contained in the liner. This is basically a mat for the removeable panel that sits on top of the battery. Forgive the example, but I was hoping for something like the photo.

Ohhh I get it. Yeah the mats I have had in the past only covered the surface with no wall coverage. I'll order the bmw mat now that I saw yours - once my car comes in.

I paid $117 shipped for the BMW one.

Looks like the F series trunk liners from weathertech are $120, so $140 shipped. I do like that coverage though.
