I wouldn't believe a word he says given he is basically a BMW mouthpiece

Are there any unfavorable reviews at all? I couldn't find any, and I went looking for negative reviews specifically too.

I don't know of any negative reviews specifically, but I didn't want to state definitively that all were positive.

110% what I expected as I trained for 2 days at the Ring in the current F90 and the mXdrive was impressive, especially exiting the turns and just feeling the planted power! It was a no brainer back then that the mXdrive was destined for the G8x.

Indeed. I wasn't sure how he'd end up deciding between these two, but this shill ended up voting for the BMW. Should have seen it coming.

We can't say the signs weren't all there. Right from the beginning. Lol.

and no, most reporters and reviewers are not favourable, most report how it is without sugarcoating or sweet talking
How do you figure? Find a negative review.

It's not about the car; the car is great, the reviewer not so having sold his soul to make money

Does Chris Harris praise every car he drives? Absolutely not. JA on the other hand, could never fault a BMW

Dude, let me say it again, my comment wasn't about the car but the reviewer

If BMW made a car with two steering wheels and no gear shifter, he'd still praise it as high achievement

That is not about the car, it's about the character of the reviewer

For you guys saying that JA never says anything negative, he definitely criticized the OEM suspension tuning as being nervous (he even implied almost "dangerous"), he said the S58 will "overwhelm" the RWD car in first gear from a start (hence why BMW has it start in second in Launch Mode), and he said the M3 has barely any steering feel.

Joe's reviews can be objective but in this one there aren't many negatives! He is a BMW fanboy and earns a living by You Tube'ing so I think it's fair to say that if he knocks cars in his reviews then manufacturers won't support his channel by providing cars to review. To me he appeared to be 'selling' it more than anything else. If it were my money I'd take the RWD version because it's cheaper, weighs less, drivetrain has less complexity, and I live in a warmer climate so don't have need for AWD.

And that's being a sellout basically. He has to always give a favorable review so that he can get more cars to review and increase his views and likes? Meh...I get why people like him, just not for me though. But hey that's why there are so many car reviewers out there. Everyone has their own taste.

Even Matt at Carwow does "5 most annoying things" and is somewhat objective. Although I like Carwow's drag races more!

To add on to this, he did criticize the M440i GC in his review as well. Wouldn't say it's a negative review but it wasn't glowing either.

He's a BMW fanboy but definitely isn't afraid to point out some flaws if present.

My point precisely.

I acknowledge the car manufacturer and sponsorship situation, but that equally applies to each and every other one of them too.

Some reviewers are entertaining, some are informative, some are boring, and some are pure rubbish; I acknowledge that everyone has their own niche when doing a review.

But not many of them, if any, try to *sell it* - this is like the media taking sides with different political agenda.

It's just not reporting, more like advertising.

Similarly, JA could be a little more subtle with the sales pitch, and level up a bit more with fun and factual stuff. Then things would not only be a lot more in tune with reality, I'll bet, he'd have a lot more likes and bundles more subscribers.

When you tell the truth, there's no need to sell the truth - that spells integrity to me

This is what I consider a great example of an entertaining and balanced review

Hagerty's been knocking it out of the park with their videos. Informative, entertaining, and makes you love being a car enthusiast.
