Installed: RW Carbon Front Lip G80 X Drive Pics!

Ive been using RW for years on my prior BMW's and they are local to me so not only do I get personalized service and install but I can see the product pre install. Matt has always taken good care of me so when he told me about this lip on Monday; I had to come down and see what it was about.

RW Carbon- Anaheim, CA

For my G80 I wanted a non aggressive front lip to fill out the non black areas in the middle but also didnt want a lip that protruded out to much because Im lowered. I like this lip for many reasons but it fits my needs perfectly:

*Great Fitment
*Solid Style
*Fair Pricing in our current market

Overall the lip itself looks good. However, I still can't get past all the CF lips that don't replace the gloss black pieces on the bumper. They just appear too tacked on to me and the CF kind of clashes with the gloss black right next to it.

Just my opinion of course.

No, I get it--- in person it blends better but if they built a full cover lip it would be very "bulgy" in nature. In real life the line of sight is just not there so one gets the optics of an add on piece but the contrast works. I definitely had the same concern but the only other ABS plastic piece is not around until Feb 22 and my car wont be LOLOLOL

This picture represents the blend probably better than the others- its not for all of course

I also live locally to RW. I used some of their pieces on my 2016 F80 when I had it. Quality is decent for what it is. I do love how they're local so I can stop in and see the stuff in person before purchase. Matt was always a good dude too.

I agree with Chicago on this one. I'm not a fan of this particular piece. I spec'd mine with the OEM MP lip anyway..

I'll have to see what they come up with at RW for side skirts and rear winglets though and pay Matt a visit again once I get my new beast.

Thanks for posting Vic! We will have to arrange an Orange County drive once I get my Mexico blue G80. I love the color of your G80. It's awesome looking!

Matt is great for sure--- they have the side skirts in stock and did tape test attachment (check their instagram story). It looks pretty good but the extension is not extreme.

Some like black on carbon blend and some dont--- its purely subjective.

What is the price point on these?

I've been holding off on a lip given it's likely to get smashed around here in winter. Some of the prices are eye watering on some of these lips, but a more affordable (disposable) option might be nice!

RW has them posted on their site--- I can not link it here though.

Under 1000 I think retail.

great question, I think they used the OG screws and added a few way underneath outside of view of course for stability.

damn you I had to put down my beer and double check... its just the angle and lighting, zero gap as I cant even put a piece of paper in there.

I was being slightly sarcastic as honestly, there is not one other car in this price range that is worthy as the G80 IMHO.

Looks good man. The non aggressive lip makes sense to me. We are both lowered but my driveway is on a slope so I'm opting for just replacing the back plastic with carbon fiber
