While I’ve mostly given up on those two (too much infotainment system whining) it’s good to see more coverage of the manual car.

Watch "Throttle House". I like them a lot and they are better than "The Straigh Pipes" imo

I've had a customer almost return an X6 he ordered because of this.

I like their videos but this particular one felt rather bland... There has already been so much coverage on this car not sure a we needed a whole video just because this one was a manual... but I get it.. YouTube revenue!

"The MT in the M2CS was way better…"

Pretty sure they are exactly the same between M2/3/4 and probably other bmws. And the MT is "rubbery" in all of them in stock from.

I feel like my 6MT feels much better after 2k miles than it did the day I picked it up. I'm not 100% if I'm just USED to it or if it actually takes a bunch of break-in miles to settle into it's final feel.

I always wonder how journalists can make comparisons to a vehicle they drove for a day a couple of years ago. That said there can be variance in manual transmissions from car to car.

Agreed. Many of those reviewers (note I did not use the term journalists) just repeat things that others said or wrote... I take their input at face value

Instead of giving driving impressions they just say "omg this is sooooo good". They say the same shit in every review

OMG, so true! This is why I hate Doug Demuro. Every car journalist on Youtube improve their way of testing the cars over the years but Doug. When I watch him, I can finish his sentences because I know what he would say and what joke he would make. The most important part of the test would be a driving impression and he failed at that part miserably.

They are Youtubers. It's about pumping out as many ten-minute videos as possible. Does anyone buy a vehicle based on a social media review or influencer? Doubt it.

More opinions are always better. You don't get any idea of how livable a car is from a Motortrend Randy Pobst or Chris Harris video. These guys like DeMuro and others focus on what the cars are like in a normal daily setting. You take all these reviews as collective information and make your own informed opinion based on your own personal criteria.
