New tires for the 550
I put my "summer" wheels on last night, and saw a decent sized chunk of sidewall missing from one of them. These are the stock Goodyear LS2's on 351m wheels. I've been itching to get a new set of tires to ditch the runflat's and the universe has smiled on me (and frowned upon my wallet).
I'm looking for the Ultra High Performance All Season category and seem to have it narrowed down to the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 4, Conti DWS06 (or the new plus?), & Pirelli P Zero All Season Plus. I run a dedicated set of X-Ice for winter, so I don't care about winter performance of the all seasons, but we got snow in August last year in CO, so an A/S is a must. I'm leaning toward the Pirelli's as they seem to have the best blend of performance and comfort between the three, but looking for opinions of each. Damaged sidewall: |

It'll come down to personal preference between all of these. All solid choices with each having their own minor cons. Michelin's will eventually develop side bubbles from potholes. Pirelli's have iffy tread wear life. Conti's ride slightly softer.
I personally replaced my run-flats with the DWS06 when I went to 20 inch wheels and I've been happy with them. I generally prefer Conti over other brands because it's German ;-)
