Who else ordered their G8x with the Carbon exterior package? I'm still at least a month out from my G80 arrival and it was a last minute addition to my build once I saw what the intakes cost by themselves.
Those that have it - What do you think so far? Worth the price? Are the pieces super glossy or not so much? Have your intakes been stuffed with road debris yet? And most important let's see some pictures! I haven't seen a lot of closeups of the intakes and mirror caps from members cars yet… |

I ordered it and I'm glad I did after seeing the prices of the individual pieces. Don't have my car yet though, sitting at the port.
I've seen it in person. It looks great. I don't think the pieces are too glosy.

see around here on the OFFICIAL XYZ COLOR threads.
There are some with and some without, make up your own mind. I for myself am glad I took it, altough my car is Black I see the carbon and for me it makes a massive difference. |

I ordered one, mainly because of the front bumper inlets which to me look so much better than the standard mesh.
I think this video shows the carbon bits well. The car is almost the same as mine except mine has the bi-color wheels and shadowline trim. Last edited by mmckenzie; 05-11-2021 at 05:49 AM.. |

I did the math and you save roughly 6k by adding this option on the build as opposed to after the fact. I spec'd mine with it and couldn't be happier. It's a no brainer

I’m undecided. The debris issue is my biggest concern. The mesh may have some practical value.
I test drove an M3C with the exterior package. I only know that because I took pictures of it, not because it was at all let of enjoying the car. For $5000 CAD, I’d rather get Individual paint. |

Haven't seen many builds in light colors yet but looking at the video below I agree it changes the look even on black cars. Can't wait. |

Here's the carbon pack on an IOMG M3C. You really have to have the right lighting to see it.

I'll be ordering it. I think it kicks up the car a notch and the inlets are must have IMO. The diffuser design is better in the carbon pack too although I don't care if it's carbon. I've seen the pack in person and I think the mirrors look 10x better in carbon as well so if I want the front pieces, might as well have the rest to match.

I did not order the package and I think if I were to do it all over again, I would.
My reasoning was that the only part I cared for were the front bumper inlets. I cannot wait until IND or any other company starts offering their own versions. First to market with their version of CF or black inlets to replace the mesh is going to make a shxt ton of cash. The mirrors are cool but can have a pair of 150$ to my door.

I forgot to mention but I will definitely have PPF applied to the front end including carbon bits. I think the lower pieces could get really chewed up.
I wonder how a body paint matched piece would look instead of carbon fiber. That would be cheaper at least and maybe would be more noticeable. |

If it makes anyone feel better I love the green mirrors with the green body on mine. The carbon looks great on light colors but with green it gets a bit lost. The green spoiler is very nice too as it looks like part of the shape instead of tacked on.
