G80 M3 track day at Road America

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
This is me at Road America, I’m on stock tires, P-zeros and honestly they performed awesome. As for the car it’s a beast, with better rubber I could push harder. Hope you guys enjoy!

Nice run. What organization and run group? It looks like you just about lapped the field! Hope somebody talked to the orange Cayman about passing etiquette.

It was lapstrackdays, and I ran in the novice group, it was my first time in Road America in 10 yrs. I didn’t think I was going to be pushing as much as I was.

I can’t believe how good of a chassis this generation M3 has. I can’t wait for the better tires.

You were certainly the class of that group! I wondered why you were passing so many Vettes, P-cars, and GT-Rs. Looks like you retained enough knowledge from 10 years ago to have a lot of fun!

Man, that looks like a lot of fun. And great job showing the 6-speed is more than capable on the track. What kind of fuel were you running, and how much did you use up during the session? Also, how well did the tires hold up?

In Wisconsin you can only get 91 octane, also two 30 minute sessions one tank of gas used. The tires held up really good considering this is the second track day that I’ve done with them.

Thanks for sharing this video, brings back a lot of memories.

120 + through kettle bottoms... I miss that feeling. Can't wait to bring mine out there in August!

The majority of the gas stations have 93 up here with a spattering of ones that only have 91. If you stop at a station off the highway that has 91, chances are the next one might have 93.

That’s good to know, I’m from Chicago and for some reason every time I go up north I always seem to find 91 only

You can get 93 octane by RA by the way. Closest is a BP on County Road. Only like a 12 min drive or so. I grab it on lunch and after.

Some people there, had no idea what they were doing or that mirrors ever existed.

Seems very strange to me that they would allow to pass on the right specially on a novice group

Were those the stock PS4s tires ? How did they end up? Did the shoulders get killed?

Nice run
