![]() ![]() Featured on BIMMERPOST.com ![]() We present the Art of Attack x CSF Cooling Time Attack G82 M4 Competition. Our goal is to build the fastest Time Attack G82 M4 in N. America. ![]() As products become available for the new platform, we’ll be partnering with some of the top brands in the automotive industry and sharing our experience throughout the build, to help guide the G80/82 S58 community toward track tested and proven products. ![]() The car was picked up less than two weeks ago from the dealership on Monday, March 1st. Today, Art of Attack spent the day at Buttonwillow Raceway collecting baseline data on many different parameters in 100% stock form. The car ran an impressive 1:56.1 on the OEM Pilot 4S tires. ![]() ![]() Next up, we’ll be tackling the wheels, tires, suspension, power, and aero (and of course fixing any issues that arise as we develop each). As far as looks go… a drop, wheels, and aero. ![]() We’re excited to see what this new platform can do – especially after the lap times it put down today. Stay tuned to both @CSF_radiators and @artofattack on IG for updates + we’ll be updating here! |

Cognrats, looking forward to the build!
Do you have any other car times to compare the G82 to?

Hey Everyone! It's been a while since we've updated this thread so we'll do a recap post covering everything that we did in 2021...
If you recall, our initial lap time at Buttonwillow was a 1:56.15 in completely stock form on the factory Michelin PS4S. June 8th, 2021 Upgraded Wheels & Tires We headed out to Buttonwillow again for another round of testing but this time we came with upgraded wheels and tires. A set of Titan 7 Wheels (19x11) and Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3R tires (285/35R19). We managed to drop our lap time by about 2 seconds in 100+ degree weather. October 25th, 2021 Suspension & Aero Upgrades One week before SEMA 2021 we rushed to get our KW V4 Coilovers and RS Future Aero parts installed. For aerodynamic upgrades, we have a long list of thing we want to test out but started off with a custom front splitter with outwash end plates, rear wing, and fender flares. The fender flares allowed up to fit wider tires stepping us up from a 285 all around to 305 in the front and 325 in the rear. The work was finished just in time for SEMA and appeared in our Booth for the show. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() November 14th, 2021 Global Time Attack at Buttonwillow We only had a few days to shake down the M4 before the GTA (Global Time Attack) event. This was our first time out with the new Aero and Suspension so we had our work cut out for us. On our first test we managed a 1:53.XX out of the gate. Over the course of the next few days we managed tweek and tune everything bringing our times even further down. A sub 1:50.XX time was the goal we had set for this event, and we finished off the final session of GTA with a 1:49.70. This was a huge accomplishment considering all this was done without a proper alignment. ![]() ![]() December 15th, 2021 More Suspension Upgrades SPL was gracious enough to send us every suspension component they offer for the F82 M4. These parts will give us the ability to tune the suspension exactly the way we want it to be. We spend most of our next track day dialing in the alignment and burning through what was left of our tires. By the we were happy with how the car felt and was behaving. ![]() ![]() |

2022 has been a crazy year so far, but we've been hard at work on the M4 and have some exciting updates.
First update for 2022 is from January 25th: With the suspension dialed in it was finally time to do some work on the engine. Just like its predecessor the G8X suffers from pretty severe heat soak. The prototype CSF G8X Heat Exchanger is our solution to combat heat soak and keep our IATs (Intake Air Temperatures) in check as we turned up the boost. Initial testing showed much more consistent power numbers and lower IATs across the board. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Last week our good friends at Eventuri send us their Carbon Intake system for the G8X and this thing is gorgeous. Eventuri really put in the extra effort in all the little details.

With the intake and exhaust opened up, it was time to do some tuning. We started off fairly conservatively but still managed to some excellent numbers with E40 Fuel. We recorded a healthy 596 whp and 586 wtq. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
