I was just about to post this....I am hesitantly reinvigorated...from the looks of it, doesn't seem the ugly, huge grills are present..please BMW, give it proportional grills...you ruined the 4er, don't ruin the G80 as well...

These look like the older mules without the production nose. Old footage it seems.

I got that feeling as well.

There’s quite a big contrast between the recent mules and the grilles that can be seen in the video (I personally stopped at around 1 minute 40 seconds to take a closer look).

Here’s to hoping that it has “normal” grilles

Yeah. Strange. Why would they post (50+ minutes ago) old footage? We know nose will be huuuuge.

I looked at the 2:10 mark and it seems you can kind of make out the outline of the grill and how they wrapped it. Seems to be a normal looking grill, you can also kinda see the middle lower bumper grill which does not look like to extend from the kidney grills.

You can also tell by looking at the rear that it's most likely an older mule.

Versus the one in one of the most recent spy videos.

Who knows? It may be that they wanted to create some footage for later use, and the production bodywork wasn't yet being applied to mules at that time. Or maybe they are just trying to keep us guessing.

Cosmetics aside, you can tell the engineers really put a lot of development into the overall driving dynamics.

I've always been hesitant to lower any car with just "springs" and this proves it, as they test multiple different shock/damper settings until they are happy. Changing the springs would just ruin that completely, coilovers would be a completely different story.

They are stoking the conspiracy theories of the "big grille deniers."

I'm really hoping this isn't just older footage, and the grill design has been corrected. I don't mean to be "that guy", but I'm getting ready to ditch my F80, and those stupid vertical grills is honestly a deal-breaker.

I agree. I don't understand how anybody can put springs on these cars is beyond me.

Definitely an old test mule since it lacks the fugly oversized grilles.

Hmmm, looks like the m5 CS grills, a bit thick outline.
