Every dealer I bought my Porsche from, including the 718 GT4, told me they'll just put me on the list. A guy I know who bought three in one dealership was told 12-18 months for an allocation. I rode in my neighbors 992 GTS and it was sublime. It is a bit more refined than my old 991.2 GTS but still has that razor sharp edge to it and the power is insane. 473 hp my ass! |

I'm fine with the delay since I have first dibs on any special BMW for now so I can have fun with these.

If you have the base model, I would still consider trading it in. If it's the GTS, absolutely not.[/QUOTE] Interesting you mention the GTS. I'm choosing between the 992.2 GTS or M3 CS. Big plus for the 992 is 7 speed manual and that may be the clincher. |

After thinking over the weekend, I decided call my dealer again to get on a M3 CS waiting list this morning at msrp and they told me I would be #1 on the list still. Since I take delivery of 992 early January, I'll have enough time to test it out before the M3 CS gets here to decide if I should trade in my 992. I just hope the price isn't outrageous |

No problem, can't wait till there are new stuff coming out about the CS, still interesting to read different views in the meantime.

There's nothing to "defend," the CSL is designed to do one thing, be an exciting and fast drive and it does it better than any other BMW so far. It's not designed to be an overall package. The M5 Comp is a better "overall package" than a McLaren 765LT. What a powerful statement! My X5M50 is a better overall package than my M4CSL too. Lol. |

Are dealers taking deposits for this? I would buy one right away if it also had rear buckets like the M5.

This would be the M3 to get if you're totally opposed to iDrive 8. You just have to pay a hefty premium for it.

Ugh - man BMW is getting lazy. Not a ton of change here over a standard comp model optioned out. I'm sure the suspension and obviously the power will be tuned under warrantly, but with past CS' at least you got a different aesthetic which was very pleasing on the hood.

What makes you think the CS will avoid iD8?
