Interior trim

So I got my M performance interior trim today and found some surprises while putting it on. The clip where my thumb is, is supposed to be where my middle finger is pointing. I wonder if this was a mistake from the factory or if this trim has been removed before?

look on the part that you took off it is ln that part. possibly...

There should be clips in all those locations I believe.

Just 4 clips all together. There shouldn't be a clip on the very bottom where my thumb is pointing.

I think I just verified that this trim has been removed before. A plastic tab on the door handle trim was broken on the passenger side. It didn't affect the fitment at all, because there is a clip very close to the tab so I wouldn't have known had I not replaced the trim. The one on the right has the tab, the one i'm pointing to is the one broken off.
