Replace front Base Audio speaker with Logic 7
Hello audio lovers
I have the Base audio setup with the paper cone speakers at the front door. I am looking to upgrade if possible just the mid speaker, I already fitted Hi-Fi Tweeters. These Base audio speakers state 4ohms on the back so no guesswork here. But there is no spec on the Logic 7 front door speaker 65136945412. Can they be swapped without any issues. Appreciate any feedback |

I don’t see the benefit of doing it unless you get the amp too. I had the base stereo too and retrofitted the alpine kit + hifi coding. Big improvement.

I have the base audio speaker setup but aftermarket Pioneer stereo that pushes same power as the Alpine amp.

I was going down the route of Alpine retro kit but for the price plus cost of coding its not really a great improvement. You cant even choose a different EQ like aftermarket stereo. The Alpine amp is not not that great as its not powerful enough to power any aftermarket subs with the 40w RMS |

Yes, it will work without a problem! The logic 7 speakers will take a good bit of power as well when crossed over properly. If you are running full range on a deck you will be fine.

Sorry to jump into this, But could anyone answer this question for me, I have cic Idrive with DAB radio & base audio, I spoke to bmw about the alpine retrofit kit & they said it wouldn't fit my car because I have DAB radio, I would of thought the DAB module just fitted the back of the Idrive unit.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks |
