Quidco experiences

Been hearing on this forum about cash back with insurance etc so decided in November to register and use Quidco.
So far a complete disappointment and feels like a bit of a rip off.
Bought 2 items from retailers via quidco site and although my cash back has tracked, still no cash in my account. Tried an online claim and the electronic form will not submit.
Emailed customer service and they are looking into it but I don't hold much hope and have little interest now to be honest.
Cannot understand why it's all so clunky and hard work especially when you go through their site when ordering.
Anyone else had similar or hopefully better experiences?

It takes several months to work its way through the system usually. I've got 2800 quid from quidco over the years that I'd have otherwise not had.

They are a damn site better than TopCashback I can assure you!

Several months!
I think I'm slipping towards 'I can't be arsed route'

It takes around 3 months for the money to be paid into your account. No point checking it everyday, they also say estimate time on 'activity page'.

Thats how these cashback scheme works, i got over 3k back since 2011, using it to sign up for new mobile contracts, broadband for home, relative home's and our shops so i got a good bonus.

I am at my wits end with Top CashBack, accessing sites via their link, I've bought close to £2k worth of good/services through them in the last two months.

Only the cheapest two SD cards for the Dash Cam have registered, I'm awaiting receipt of £1.17.

Bloody joke and despite all of my e-mail receipts etc, they say my purchases hadn't tracked or whatever term they use. I've given up on them.

My experience of TCB couldn't be different. Most tracks straight away & pays when promised.

Well recommended by me.

Never had issues with Quidco - you need to look at the payment time for each retailer - it varies.

Some are a week, some a few months - your choice but there is no catch. If they don't pay, you haven't lost anything and if/when they do, you win.

+1 for TCB. Nearly £600 in the last twelve months and no issues with tracking or payouts.

Been using for years, takes a while for the payout but easy to check before you order anything. It seems to all add up especially when using to purchase insurance or utilities.

The negative about Quidco is that they distort the review process in my experience. On the occasions I have tried to leave negative reviews due to someone not paying cashback, paying at a lower rate, taking a year to pay..., Quidco decide not to publish those reviews. Each time I receive an email telling me that my review breaches (in an unspecified way) their review T&Cs. Conversely, positive reviews appear instantly. My reviews are always polite and factual.

I even wonder if they may be breaching the Consumer Rights Act in some way by distorting the review process, creating a falsely positive impression, but I can't really be bothered to take it further.

Not tried other cashback sites, but this aspect about Quidco annoys me.

Thanks for the replies.
I have clearly been a bit naive with this cash back lark. Time frames are months not days by the look of it.
Think I will use Twitter to get around the sensorship of reviews and I'm drifting towards cannot be arsed.
I have a very black and white view of life. if a company owes me money on a promise they made to me, then pay up or F off is my view. There is absolutely no reason for months of delays.

I think the delay is more about the retailers being slow to pay quidco rather than them not honouring the deal . When they receive it they pass it on. It I suspect a lot of retailers do not break their necks to pay the cash back quickly.

Generally I've found quidco to be very good and have received about £1300 back. As long as it tracks I just leave it to do its thing and it filters through in due course. When you've been with quidco for a while they upgrade you to premium membership and a lot of cash back then seems to pay more quickly. I tend to put all online purchases through it, switching insurance or energy suppliers as well as this pays quite well.

If you use eBay then tcb is great. It all adds up.

I put a cash back enquiry into Quidco and have received a reply today stating Halfords will not honour the cash back.
They list one of 6 reasons why they will not pay out and none apply in my case.
Not impressed but cannot be arsed to spend time arguing, I've closed my account and deleted the link.
