Thoughts on summer tire size if I went with 18x8.5 square

I was just thinking about possible options. Not sure I would seriously consider it, but say I wanted to run my 18x8.5 square wheels in the summer, what size would I run?

I would prefer to run a 255 in the back, but would it be possible silly to run 255 up front, I believe the offset is ET35. 255/40/18 is the exact same size as 255/35/19 which was stock. 245-40-18 are pretty flush up front, might poke a bit...

245/40/18 is what I'm running on them for the winter and they fit great. Not as easy to find a good 245/40/18 summer tire in a run flat. I know you all hate rfts, but they work for me for my situation.

Thoughts? Just wondering, as there are good deals on gently used summer tires that I could try at this size for cheap...

Im currently running 245/40/18 square on 18x8.5 et32 wheels. No rubbing even w/ full load and hard driving.
Im planning to go 255/40/18 w/ the same wheels.

235/45/18 is also a good option.

I believe Bridgestone would have size you would need for summer tires. they are just not cheap

I would recommend either 245/45-18 square or 255/40-18 square.

245/45 is a good option if your car is on stock height and you want to fill the wheel wells a bit better.

This is 8.5x20" ET32, 255/30-20: f30.bimmerpost.com

Your setup is 3mm less aggressive!
