X3 Transmission Hesitation
Anyone having issues with the launch of your X3 in drive. I read that it starts out in second if you start in drive and starts out in first if it is in sport mode.
It seems our X3 hesitates badly sometimes in D with a delay in launching and if we put it in S it about gives you whiplash. I just wondered if anyone else felt this way and if ours has a problem. We had a 2004 X3 and it did not do this but it did not have anywhere near the power. I wondered if maybe there was a recall or reprogram available? |

Got the X3 reprogramed this week and it's like a new vehicle. No hesitation and it seems to shift a lot quicker and is faster. I can't believe the difference, if anyone is having this problem take it in for the reprogram.

had mine reprogrammed about 2 weeks ago. noticed an increase in mileage (about .5mpg) and it's more responsive.

I own a BMW X3 and proudly a M5, I have noticed that with my X3 in humid weather it jerks quite a lot. It feels like I am driving my daughters MINI until I just slam the pedal to the ground and really get it going. Fantastic car, not sure about the hood closure. It doesn't seem to be latching fully down all the way. Thank you for telling about getting it reprogrammed!
