Removing jb4 tune tips

Hey guys!

Have had the jb4 for 3 years and it's time take it out! Definitely been a great time with the stage 2 with no problems whatsoever.

My problem is the removal in general. I didn't install it myself so I wanted to see if anyone had any tips or anything at all to help me out. Just want to make sure I don't break anything right before I turn it in.

If you are local to socal and can meet up I have beer money and am willing to pay a small fee to remove it rather than a shop that can charge alot.

Thanks in advance!

J

Simple straightforward. Just don't tug on the wires and tear the harness apart... There's usually clips or push pins where the harness mates.

As for the CANbus and power/grounds, those are pretty simple as well. Loosen the bolt and disconnect the wire, don't just tug.

Thanks! Do I need to clear codes or turn it to map 0 before I remove? Also the ecu has to be off since then makes sense to me. Correct?

Car should be off, best if you disconnect battery as well. Reconnect after removed.

No, you don't have to change the maps prior to removal.

Removal is very straight forward, You should not pay someone to do it
