e92 OEM front lip on e90

Is it possible to fit the OEM e92 lip on the e90? Can it be trimmed to make it work? I like the looks of the OEM better than the Hartage or stick on splitters. Has anyone done this?

A member here did it last month, but it wasn't a direct swap by any means.

You need to replace the bumper, grilles, lights, hood and fenders. You can use e92 bumper, grilles, lights, and hood but the funders need to be custom. Vorsteiner has molds for the custom fenders already but they do not sell them. If you can get Vorsteiner to make and sell these, then I'd be interested as well.

Othewise, the facelift 2009 e90 has a front end much more similar to the e92. Another option would be to wait for kits to come out for the 2009 and use those parts. You may need to change many of the same parts (excluding the lights) but I'm hoping it will be a direct fit to the current e90 with no custom pieces. I like the e90 lights (minus the amber) better than the e92 lights anyway. So unless Vorsteiner decides to sell the fenders soon, this is th route I will probably go.

EDIT: I forgot to add, there are a bunchof other misc parts you would need to change as well like headlight mounting brackets, wheel well liners, etc. Certainly not a small project.

Didn't mean the whole bumper, just the OEM lip that is made for the e92 bumper cover, can it be made to fit the e90 bumper cover.

I didn't think that it would be so involved.

Where did you get the information on the facelift for 2009s?

No, seriously. Never tried to test fit aerolip on e90 bumper...so not sure how much you would need to modify to make it fit. I am sure its possible, but may not be worth it if it requires alot of cutting and bondo, then paint, etc.

An alternative is the E90 Hartge front lip....it is probably the closest thing to the E92 OEM Aero lip look.
