2x HiFi underseat subs

Hi guys,

I have for sale 2x BMW HiFi underseat subs from a 2008 E92, just the subs themselves so no enclosures. These are a good upgrade for those of you with the standard Stereo setup or who have upgraded with the Alpine kit.

Looking for £85 inc P&P. Here are some pics:

This might seem like a idiotic question but if I have Hifi in my car will I already have the subs under the seats?? Don't think I've got any but I've got the tweeters in the doors, spec says Hifi upgrade

The base system has 6.5" underseat subs whereas the HiFi versions are 8.5"

Would these fit an e90 without any modifications and in the stock enclosures?

As long as it's Pre-LCI then yes it will.

Ive got an LCI-E90 with what i can only imagine is base spec audio as its doesn't sound that great. Would these make much difference even without an amp?

Hey buddy,

I think I'm going to have to remove these from sale as further research has shown that the HiFi system is 2ohm, whereas the Base and Alpine are 4ohm.

They'd still be suitable for somebody wanting to replace damaged HiFi subs but apart from that they'll just have to sit in the garage gathering dust

It's the impendence (Ohms) that's different so from the sound of things wouldn't work too well when powered from the head unit on a base system.

No they are much better than Base..they're 2" bigger for a start.

The issue is that they run at a different impedance to the Base and Logic7 systems so a standard Base system would struggle to power them. Even if you have the Alpine upgrade, the amp from that will also struggle to run the HiFi subs due to the difference in impedance.

I'd rather not risk causing damage to somebodies sound system for the sake of £85.

Well as long as you state they need to be used with the Hifi amp then thats at the buyers own risk should they choose not to
