Sun cream stains on leather seats- Any advice?
Given the hot weather I'm guessing others have seen the unsightly stains that sun cream can leave behind on the seats and interior trim...
Anyone got any sure fire tips of sun protection options that don't do this? or any particular thoughts on cleaning it easily? I just used standard Meguiars cleaner/conditioner, but always seems a touch of overkill if that's what I need to do every other day in hot weather. I've seen what happens to seats where the stains weren't removed.. seats needed repainted/coloured completely!

Just usually wash with warm soapy water then dry but not scrub. Afterwards I apply the BMW leathercare cream from the seal and protect kit.
Nothing fancy and a reason why I love Dakota leather. It's nit soft and smooth but in 15 yrs of BMW it's indestructible!

Another word of warning...... DON'T get any sun cream on the body work (like kids hands, people opening doors etc). Its a pig to get off
I remember reading this on e90post: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=745091

Good find! Thankfully the sealant should help avoid that. I'd seen the consequences if interior stains before but never heard about paint damage from it!
I'm just wondering if a sun spray would be better for avoiding in the first place? Though they tend to feel oily, which possibly brings a different set of issues!

Have you got Gtechniq L1 on the seats or a similar leather protection?
There are other protection and cleaning bits and bobs out there. Dr Leather now do one. http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acata...ock-cat23.html Also as mentioned earlier LTT Leather care. http://www.lttsolutions.co.uk/index.php/auto.html http://www.lttsolutions.co.uk/index....a-150-kit.html |

I have applied Gtechniq L1 to my beige leather seats, 800 miles and one month so it was time to give the front seats their first clean since then.
Mostly baby wipes but the blue stains from wet dark jeans was a bit more stubborn and required a bit of gliptone leather cleaner and a micro fibre to clean it off: |
