Low speed front end clunk
I’ve noticed that my 24 M3 xDrive sometimes has this strange clunkiness from the front end during low speed parking lot maneuvers. I’m running 15mm spacers up front and I’m wondering if they might be the issue. I don’t hear any rubbing and I don’t see evidence or rubbing on the fender liners either. Stock suspension. Michelin tires. No other suspension or wheel mods outside the spacers. I installed the spacers pretty much as soon as I got the car to I don’t recall if the issue was present prior to install.
I’ll be honest, those 15mm spacers are so thick I was a little paranoid about using them. I know plenty of people run 15mm and some run even larger spacers. Car is under 3k miles no other suspension or brake issues. Anyone else experience this?

If it's a metallic clunk that you're hearing it might be the wheels slipping on the rotor or between the rotor hat and the wheel bearing hub
https://www.bimmerworld.com/Brakes/B...108053073.html I know that on my old M4 (F82) I had these also between the rotors and the wheels.

I suspect that it’s normal and has something to do with the xDrive.

Remove the spacers and see if it still does it.

Agree that would be the most logical diagnostic measure to take. Just kinda a pain especially since I don’t currently have an easy way to do that at home. I do have lift access at the shop on base it would be a matter of finding the time. I do have a buddy her local that says his car does the same thing so I’m a little less worried now.

Was this not recently discussed here as well? If you're talking about hard turns you may be experiencing the Ackerman effect. It's quite common in most cars at low speeds during hard maneuvers. Spacers may exaggerate the effect as well since you're changing the width between the two sets of wheels.
