I guess I don't get the point of the non-Americans talking about how much more expensive M3's are in their respective countries. What is the relevance? Are you saying the more expensive a car is the more it's ok to pose and fake that you have one? I would argue it's the other way around. So if somebody (unironically) slapped a Prancing Horse badge on their Camry, you'd give them a high-five and tell them nice Ferrari?

I completely agree. An M235i like the one I have, is marketed and sold as such. Yes, it is not a true M car, but no shame in being proud of it. But if an owner added some M badges or markings in an attempt to make, say a 320i into a more elite vehicle, that's just shameful.

The main reason I personally find fake M badges so amusing is just the irony in it. The vast majority of the public frankly don't know the difference between a 428, 440, or an M4. So the only people that would actually know the difference and theoretically be "impressed" by an M4 are the same people that know it's fake.

This is exactly what was running through my head as I scrolled through this thread.

None the less, its still hilarious to scroll through this thread and see all the fake badging for pure entertainment value.
