Nice! How long did it take from port to in transit? Mine is seating at the port for few days in Germany.

Mine spent right at a week in Brunswick before getting on a truck to the dealer.

A week or so before it gets on a boat. But, dealer and genius won't have the boat info for a few days after it's actually on a boat (they will say it's showing as still at port, but it's really on a boat).

The port stay will vary, but mine was at the port for a week before it left on Altair Leader

Is anybody hearing anything about 6MT order delays? Anecdotally there seems to have been a few delays related to chips, which seems to be mainly impacting 6MT orders (not at all clear why that would be the case). I have a week 15 that is still in 111, and it seems as though a lot of the 6MT orders around week 12-15 are being delayed indefinitely, which blows massively

Mine is still 150 status (since last wednesday). I thought it might be 18/19 wheels. I changed 18/19 (for other reasons) to be 19/20 Tuesday and it went to 150 the next day. 18/19 are only standard on 6Mt models

I have a 6MT that was supposed to be build week 10, it got changed to week 13, I called this morning and they said it's now week 12. It should start sometime this week I'm guessing since this is week 10. He didn't mention anything about delays for me.

I placed my order in September 2020, got a build number in December. Have been status 112 for about 2-3 weeks now.

Shortage should no be related to MT

There are currently some shortage at BMW, Harman Kardon Sound System is one of these parts, next to Live Cockpit Plus, but this only impacts non-M cars.

Got build number 2/13/21
Dealer told me expect production to start mid April
But on 2/22/21 status changed from 111 to 112. Called BMW Genius that day and told me that my order got moved up to week 12.
Called again today and they still told me week 12 (fingers crossed)

I really don't understand the production sometimes. People with the same build going to the same country will have a build moved up several weeks and the other will have theirs moved back several weeks for no apparent reason. Maybe based on east vs west coast or something.

That's some crazy stuff. You actually placed your order earlier than I did. I placed my order in early December 2020. Who's your dealer? I wonder if they had a later allocation than other dealers in the network? Just for your reference, my timeline was as follows:

Dec 11th: Production Number Assigned
Feb 1st: Production Begins
Feb 8th: Exterior Assembly Begins
Feb 8th: In The Paint Booth
Feb 9th: Entering Assembly Line
Feb 10th: Quality Check
Feb 10th: Awaiting Carrier Assignment

Thanks! I hope there are no further delays either.

I purchased from BMW of San Francisco, apparently I am their first manual M3 allocation. They have 6 M4s right now and an M3 but they are all competition spec. This led me to believe that getting the non comp allocation is a lot more difficult and someone mentioned that it seems like they are concentrating on creating more automatics overall.

It's all in the air until you hit status 150.. hopefully it starts this week so I can join the others on the ship the first week of April. The longer this takes the more I change colors but hoping to stick with IOMG. Already changed colors twice before!

Hopefully your car gets loaded quickly on the truck for the dealer after the VDC! Congrats! Dravit grey will be amazing
