22 M3 exhaust and intake suggestions
Good evening fellow M3 members....I'm new here and soon to be owner of a 2022 M3 xdrive. I'm looking for some recommendations on exhaust and intakes. Any help is greatly appreciated Thanks in advance.

Can't help on the intake but personally the Remus exhaust sounds the best out of all of them. Not raspy at all, it has a nice deep tone.

I was dead set on doing an akrapovic system on this car until I saw the price. I'm considering Remus as well like the others here. Also looking at a valvetronic midpipe just to improve the sound a bit and keeping the rest as is. I might check out akrapovic midpipe as well as the stock axelback is supposed to be pretty good, a midpipe will give the improvement I'm looking for.

I'm definitely considering the valvetronic midpipe, I'll check out the SSR downpipe as well. I'm kinda sad that a $120,000 car has such a shitty stock exhaust when the F90 M5 sounds great and the optional M performance exhaust with it sounds incredible. Oh well... I'm going to talk to the shop I go to to get pricing on various options soon.

It all depends on the sound you are going after and if you plan on keeping stock downpipes.
We are running the BMS front mount intake on the shop's M4 Comp and are very happy with it. It sounds and looks great. The install is tricky, as we show in this video. If you want a more straightforward install, I recommend the regular BMS intake instead. As for the exhaust, we just installed the Active Autowerke catted downpipes, and we will be installing the complete Active Autowerke catback system with non-catted midpipes. That's my favorite exhaust as it's one of the few systems that replace the entire stock exhaust system. It's loud and aggressive when paired with downpipes but not obnoxious

As an FYI any of these setups sound completely different under load. Revving in park is kind of meh. On the throttle accelerating, O M G.
I just installed the PSI mid pipe. Wasn't very excited hearing it in the garage after install. Driving it yesterday in anger, it is perfect. |
