Creaking sound near left door pillar

Anyone else getting an annoying creaking sound from the top of the left door? (US driver side)
Seems to disappear when lowering the window…

Check the little sun glass / gun / drug cubby on the left side of your knee cap.

Same here. I first noticed it after they did my tint job, but I think is was more noticeable then because I could not lower the windows for 48hrs.

I'll check that little drawer on the left side next time. However, it seems like is coming from the small tweeter speaker.

Mine does this too, I can't tell where it is coming from but definitely somewhere in the rear of the car, on the drivers side.

Is this the sound you are hearing? If so this was a issue on the F80s. The dealer installed the tape you see in the following video and it helped but the noise came back but it wasn't as loud. I started to apply Nextzett Gummipflege Stift to that area and the nosie went away.

no, mine is more like a squeak. I already applied gummipfledge to the door seals to see if it would fix it and it didn't. (Previous F80 owner lol)

I applied the gummibear stuff around the door and window seal areas and now when lowering the windows they squeak like hell lol
Still got that sound so thinking it maybe where the top of pillar trim meets the headliner? Gonna try that next…

Very interesting. My 6 month old X5 is in for the 2nd time (over 4 dealer visits) to solve this noise (creak entering/leaving driveway). They changed the weather striping which helped for some time. Then they have now changed the door panel which apparently hasn't solved the problem and they're waiting for additional parts to arrive to potential solve the issue.

May try this if more TLC is needed beyond what the dealer can give it.

If this is for a 2 door, have you guys verified that the rear interior quarter trims are clipped all the way in? I took my car in for a sunroof issue and found that upon reassembly they improperly reassembled the trim. It was too far forward and the seal was pushed up against the door card causing a creak over any undulations on the road.
