Just received the ECS kit yesterday, and shared my unboxing, as well my experience trying to schedule an install, in a new thread here:

I was thinking the same as the OP here. as I want to keep the dynamic of the stagger setup .

So I went with FC 12mm around.

The finish look. the rear is perfect flush. while the front can do a few more mm.

I saw this coming from the input from others like you about the front, and why I went with this turner kit. I'm going to use the 15mm up front and the 12.5 mm in the rear. It should keep the dynamic of the stagger set up and also push those fronts out just a hair more.

That's beautiful, bro...well done. Nice to know as well on the 15 squared...if I don't like the 12.5 out back, I'll get two more 15s and do what you did.

Thanks, and again, gorgeous man!

I've got to ask, how is it on the MSS? I had the 2013 335xi in my garage lowered on H&R springs, and on any real road bump, I would hit the bump stops which would make it sound like my car was about to fall apart...it literally hurt, thats how hard I would bounce and hit the bump stops....I then replaced those springs with a KW coilover kit and it was heaven.

I haven't lowered my new M3C yet because I'm terrified of that experience again with lowering springs; adjustable or not. Was my experience just unlucky, or is there a reason I experienced that back then and you all are not now?

I am thoroughly impressed with MSS and this chassis- the soaking up of the bumps while keeping the suspension taut is excellent. I really think the damper valving married with the linear springs of the MSS HAS are strong. And this is with the drop- 35mm front and 30mm rear. I do have any bump stop issues but you might want to check the suspension section here and read up the MSS Hack that RG Sport has done to increase the front drop (which I have).

I do live where the roads are good though- but where I got it lowered, the roads are shit for sure. I chose the springs not so much for the adjustability but instead the ride quality.

It looks less aggressive but I swear the car handles better.
I’ll wait a little for the suspension to settle down and take some pics.

How can you tell it handles better going from 15 to 13? With 15, was it worse in terms of handling than stock with no spacers?

I know what you mean. I really didn’t expect to feel any difference.
When I installed the 15/13 initially I felt steering a tad slower and I think the ride got a tad bumpier on uneven highway. It wasn’t bad but wasn’t as good as stock.
I certainly didn’t expect that reducing the spacers by 2 and 3 mm would make any difference but somehow it does.

Totally can be in your mind as well. Hardly likely that 2 mm is causing noticeable steering changes…more likely your mind is telling you it is. Not trying to be confrontational here either, just stating the obvious

A properly installed spacer should not yield any driving adjustments on the street. I have driven multiple stock G80's with and without my 15mm set up. There are no differences with this or the 30 plus other cars Ive used spacers on. The contact patch of the tires remains the same so anomalies are probably attributed to a bad install or a bad spacer which is not hubcentric or not placed correctly on the hub.

Here is my other G80 with 15mm square setup:

Alright already, bro! I'm done looking at this and loving it…on Monday I'm still going to have my 12.5mm and 15mm spacers installed at the same time as my 1200 mile break in service but I'm ordering another pair of 15mm spacers now to replace the 12.5's. Your car looks so perfect I can't take it anymore 😂👍!

Then to save a bit more for that MSS KIT!

Hey Vic, awesome car by the way. I always love your builds and follow your cars in the forums. Have you noticed a lot of debris kicking up on the sides of your car with spacers installed? I am considering installing TLG mud flaps when I get my car and install my spacers. I would assume after time, you will start to see some damage on the bottom portion of car.

Thanks brother, I have not notice much but then again where I live the roads are very well paved and maintained. Usually in a more adverse climate one will see the roads torn up from rain and other elements.

On my M8 where I run 18/12- so debris issues. I run 12/15 on the R8 with no issues as well. These are cars Ive owned longer than the G80.

The Porsche can not have spacers due to CL's.

Everything is possible.
Try for yourself.
Drive around with spacers for a while then try the stock setup and see if they feel different.

Thanks for the info, I live in Virginia so we have suspect roads depending on where you are. The country roads are paved with gravel mixed in or our patching techniques are from the 19th century. :

Absolutely, I just meant going from 15 to 13 and 13 to 10; not going from no spacers to spacers etc. that said, I've never taken spacers of any kind off after putting them. Hopefully Vic55 is wrong and it's not a bad install and/or spacer
