I don't like the idea of adding washers to a structural brace. You're sacrificing rigidity their product should fit.

True but im not excited about jamming all my exhaust gasses into 1 pipe or using an h pipe like other designs. X pipe has always performed best on all my high performance cars. This may be the only x pipe design, which is theoretically best for exhaust scavenging and used in race cars. Also if you look at the welds this is a true x, not a kiss for 2 bends. This is what i see on all the baddest ass exhaust ive bought and what sold me on this particular design. Lastly this costs about as much as some porsche or ferrari exhaust tips which is reasonable because it can be used as a complete exhaust solution.
Even if other ones fit better id still want to use this. Psi needs to re-adjust their jig tho

I agree 100% with your assessment. Additionally I would like to add that I weighed the removed section from the car and it weighed 31 lbs. I would estimate the new section at approx. 10 lbs. A nice weight savings in addition to the improved hp and torque.

Thanks Ed. For some additional perspective to those complaining about the price. Thats the same weight savings as bucket seats, which cost 4 grand. And suck IMO. Plus it makes some noise and power, especially with a tune. Once the car adapted to it, i could run 3 less psi and less ethanol and do the same times.

I hope to do the same mod's to my G82 xdrive (when I receive it) as I did to my GTR that I currently own. My GTR is a screamer with an ECU tune, larger injectors, larger fuel pumps, E85 with flex kit, cold air intake and exhaust. With the M4 I'm just waiting for the ability to tune ECU thru the OBD, add bolt on's and then it should be able to compete with my GTR.

Sounds awesome! What would you say is the overall DB volume gain on this? I had downpipe + midpipe in my old 340 and it was like a nuke every morning. I'm thinking just midpipe may be the route I go on this car

You can control the cold start. Efficient mode and even further close the valves its normalish. After its warmed up the sport plus start is very nice. Moving i would say 100-105 db from 1-2m. Its not too crazy. My spyder was 130 dB that was apocalyptic

Has anyone heard from PSI about the clearance issue? I sure would like to see this sorted before they ship my order.

Both sizes are used. The 3" is in front and the 2.75" is the rear size. I know this because I had to re-order the 2.75 rear section after selling my car and reinstalling the oem pipes. I had to use the clamps for the reinstall.

Thanks for the post! Ordered one Saturday, looking forward to the install. Can you comment or give any advice on what’s needed/tips for cutting the OEM exhaust pipe?

As others have mentioned, cut at the middle dots of the 3 pair of dots stampled on the stock exhaust. Use a Sawzall or a cutoff wheel. I recommend that you measure the middle dot on each side to make sure they were stamped correctly before you cut. Mine were not equal.

Mine either. I cut directly on the middle dots and was left with a 1/2 in gap for the drivers side clamp to cover. Hopefully I won’t see any problems. The car sounds amazing.

Used duct tape to mark the line. Then I used a dremel stainless cutting wheel to get it started real good, followed by a reciprocating hand saw to finish it off. My first time cutting exhaust pipe. Wasnt perfect because i had the car on jack stands and i was like a worm on the floor but it was fine. No exhaust leaks. For $1650 shipped its a great mod. Transforms the car imo
