Build Week 42 Discussion

No. If you are truly week 42 and your dealer can actually show you your order then that would mean your build is expected to be finished by the week of October 18. Not starting but finished.

This sounds right to me, I was told by genius the following also:

10/1- car production start date
10/18- car estimated finish date
4-5 weeks for shipping/final inspections at processing center
1-2 shipping to dealer.

Based on this info I'm hoping for a week 48-week 49 arrival ( nov 29th - December 10th)

I guess the question is whether the week signifies the start or end of production. Here's what I got from my CA

If that is you then you are weak 42 and your vehicle is scheduled to be finished by the week of October 18th. That doesn’t mean on the 18th that means that week. Please let us know when your status changes to production begins. I’ll also post it when mine goes to that status as well.

That’s awesome but isn’t this vehicle being built in South Carolina? Definitely not the same plant as the M3 or M4 because those two vehicles are in different plants.

Yeah, X series production for the US is at Spartanburg, SC.

An unofficial date, Look for the " Conf. Production" this is your confirmed build week from my experience.

I am wondering the same. Our cars should be going into 150 if we expect them to be complete week 42. I don’t see it happening. Late Nov or early Dec. delivery 😭

I’m actually 43 as of today at status 112. I haven’t seen any 43ers go 150 and we are obviously behind you all.

Ohhh so the after it's built process should be less?

Sounds like I was given information about the car as if it were coming from out of country plant as the genius rep said the processing center was in the US.

Same here, I was told I’m week 42, but I’m still at 112.

Good for you! Sure you are in week 42? From what I've seen, once prod begins, cars are basically built in 2-3 days.
