I thought the whole "Week X" meant the car was done with production by then?

I'm still on 'Production Begins' and I highly doubt it finishes production in the next 2 days.

That’s how it works. Week 42 is October 18 so expect our cars to be completed and/or shipped next week. Anything could change with current times.

What is an X3 M40i doing in this thread lol
Found the "week ___ build" threads through the search bar. It didn't specify which cars it was talking about so I thought it was general build week people sharing out. Didn't know it was for small cars only. Thanks

There are separate forums for each model series and generation. This is in the M3/M4 latest gen forum.

My car just went to Quality Check. Almost done. Now, I have to cross my fingers that it has been put together with all the parts! Hoping to avoid stop sales.

10/11 - Production begins
10/15 - Exterior body assembly

Also - if you notice the other 2 folks on this thread, we are tracking same 5 day timeline from production to body assembly… pretty consistent thus far.

Psylovibe and corm 😊

Yeah once you exterior body assembly the process flew by and I couldn't even keep up with each stage until dispatched from factory. Congratulations to both of you as well.

I'm a little unclear on stop sales. Newbie question:

Since the engine stop sale won't be affecting us, why are people thinking the Parking Assistance Package cameras or the RAM module issues will also affect us if they've been identified months ago?

I think these stop sales fall into 2 categories. The main bearing cap issue was discovered after production - and even after some had their cars. I assume they wouldn't assemble any more cars with a known defective engine and they probably fixed that right away with improved parts. The other issue is building cars without certain modules and holding them at port until the modules can be received and installed. It's not clear to me whether these have been fully resolved, or when the buyer would know that his car faces a delay.

I have a tendency to agree with you. However I have noticed lots of guys in week 40, 41 and I believe some in this week also claim to have looked up their Vin and see no stop sale issues. I’m not sure if the site they are going to is accurate or not. I hope so.

The engine bearing issue was related to defective components that need to be replaced. The other stop sales are because of missing parts at time of production. The stop sale can't be lifted until the parts are delivered and installed

STATUS: Exterior body assembly begins!

Also following the 5 day interval from prod begins. (10/11)

I wonder if mine will get delayed in paint booth due to the TB2 color. Hope not. Anyone have experience?

I don't think you will get delayed in the paint booth. I have frozen brilliant white and I flew right through the process.

Mine is currently sitting at the port. Has anyone in this build week encountered any stop sales or is it too early to tell?
