Just some how got penfed discount of 1500.00

I am picking up my car this weekend and sales guy called and said with the discount code I sent him in December when program was active that I will now get 1500 rebate.. I did not ask too many questions as “you never look a gift horse in the mouth”. Any idea if there is still a program? Some of you may want to ask. Here is proof..

I might try my expired code with my CA. Are you getting $1500 with 3rd party financing?

Your December code would have been 2500. It was recently dropped to 1500. It's still a thing.

It just changed from penfed to USAA. Sign up the exact same way.

But penfed is different from USAA. They may both have military associations but nonetheless are different. How can they just apply the code from one to the other? When they ask for proof of the voucher or whatever won't it just get bounced?

With USAA though don't you have to be military to become a member?

I had no idea you could buy an $85k by putting $8k down. Why on earth would anyone lease these cars at $1300/mn + several thousand down?! You're way better off buying the car and selling it in 36 months than leasing it for that same term.

They probably aren't supposed to, but did it to "honor" the original. And yes they are different. As I said it changed. But the sign up is exactly the same through BMWs site.

So I decided to buy.. with same money down my lease payment was 1056.00 a month, and buying with same down it was 997.00 a month. Crazy thing was after 36 months on 84 month financing I would owe 44k or so and with residual on lease it was 46k or so…. The reason was the lease had the acquisition fee, plus the interest rate was higher.. makes no sense to lease at this time as rates suck and my dealer tried to jack up money factor to highest possible. So I pay 50 bucks a month less and actually owe less after 36 months with financing even on 84 month financing. Plus I have full flexibility to sell to anyone vs a lease where you can’t sell to private party.. no brainer If you ask me

Is it any outside financing gets you this deal or is there a specific Pen Fed member rebate?

No brainer indeed. Some cars lease well, others like the m3 don't.

I'd venture to say that nothing worth driving leases well in this ridiculous car market.

Curious as well. I am a PenFed and USAA member. I will have to call both tomorrow and see what I am eligible for if anything. I will be using bmw financial for my car in a couple weeks.

You can but it takes a lot longer. On a lease it is dollar for dollar.
