Whats with the huge undulations in G force at the launch? Is this due to wheelspin? The speed graph doesnt look S shaped to indicate poor traction. Wondering if the car is cutting power intermittently vs the dragy not registering properly. Do you have other runs?

Im about to buy some JB4 on my M3. Ill
Be running it on 93 octane. Which maps can I use?
Map 1-3? Never used it before. Also, any solid figures
For the maps for the M3?

Oh hey Buddy! Hows the car treating you? Well JB4 isnt a tune just a piggy back on the system. I dont think they will notice it if you just take it off the car before you bring it to the dealership. I Havnt heard anyone about cracking the ECU and tuning it. Have you done the break in service? I actually notice the car to be abit more powerful after the service.

I think it was a little over 1200 miles. You may face the same issues that you'll have to comeback cause there was a back log for one of the parts. I cant remember what it was but started with a D. If thats the case with JB4 i may not do it then since im only leasing. I doubt ill buy this car but the next M3 i probably with get the AWD. The car sticks so good though! I had a scare earlier this week. It was rainy and i just left my driveway took a turn and my car started going sideways. I wasnt even gassing it F P Zeros lol the temp was like 58 but damn

Let me reassure you before you install this. There is no "might". As soon as you use this device even one time, your car is flagged and you will no longer be receiving a warranty on anything BMW can pin to the tune. It does not matter if you unplug it immediately after your first pull and never use it again. Not trying to dissuade you or anything like that.

No, I don't have a tune on mine. As much as I would like BMW to allow this, they are not the only ones who are "strict". Realistically, why should they pay for an engine repair when the engine has been pushed in a way it was not designed for? Think of all the ethanol mixed, map 3, doing 0-60 pulls right after a cold start cars on IG out there.

i personally never once got flagged. But I am hearing they came out with new guidelines..... but you would probably have to break something that has to do with the JB4.... they cannot stop servicing your car unless it was relevant to the problem

I mean theoretically yes. But i find it hard to believe if i do 1 pull, then unistall it, then blow the motor 6000 miles later im gonna be 100% SOL. Porsche will CPO a tuned car as long as its ECU is flashed back to stock, which is the other extreme. If BMW is that strict i might as well do a turbo upgrade lmao.

Yes, they have to prove the tune caused the problem. However, they have much deeper pockets than you or I, so if they say they won't cover, good luck.

Interesting situation, but I would almost guarantee they won't cover it. The computer will still show its exceeded max boost, torque, hp, etc. Although we are now getting into speculation.

Your not covered! You blow the engine and you had a tune for 1 pull, get ready to fork out the money. You have no leg to stand on. Just tune the damn car and enjoy it. JESUS, lol. If you can't afford to fix it, or you will be scared every time you drive it, don't tune it. Not rocket science. Or just buy a faster stock car. Wolf is correct! The data is in the car.
