Trying to word this any & everyway possible so that everyone understands what I'm asking lol.

edit: I've just been crusing map 2 for about 30 days and dumping in decent 93 octane.
From the logs, it looks like with the downpipes, the turbos spools faster than what the DME is trained for, so there is a surge in boost and the DME closes the throttle to reduce the overboost (I've seen 22 psi even in map 1). After the wastegate regulates the boost to the proper 17~18 psi, the throttle opens again.

In comfort mode, the overboost is not that high (19 psi) so the closure last less time than sport+. I am no tuner, and actually I would like to see if a tuner can confirm this, here the logs:

Sport+: https://datazap.me/u/000camus000/e30...26-27-28-29-34

Comfort: https://datazap.me/u/000camus000/e30...26-27-28-29-34

I don't think this closure is related to the fuel quality at all, I've seen the same behavior with 91, E15 and E30, the only difference is that the timing looks way better, but the throttle closure behavior is the same.

Maybe we are hitting the torque limits. Anyway, this would be fixed with a flash tune, but in the meanwhile is good enough, also the fact that Jb4 can clear the CEL make it worth it for me.

You can clear the CEL by going in to diagnostic mode and deleting fault codes but it will come back up in a few days. There is no way to keep it off forever. EPA cracked down and USA companies are all removing those race use only options even APR.

You can keep it off forever and its extremely simple to do, it's called a mini-cat O2 spacer. I have been using them for 2 weeks now and over a couple hundred miles on catless headers and have NEVER gotten a check engine light from install or after install. If I run JB4 to check for codes ZERO come up.

Talked to someone on IG running catless JB4 and the 02 spacer. He said he tried 2 different ones and still the engine light comes up so seems like that doesn't work either

Well is this person just trying super cheap spacers or spacers that actually include a "mini cat"? If the former then no surprise. Would be good to hear specifics of exactly which products do or don't work in this specific application.

Use the link posted above, I am running 2 of those mini-cat O2 spacers on SSR catless downpipes. Third time saying this but, using those mini-cat O2 spacers. I didn't get a CEL on install and after over 600 miles now, with hard driving no CEL appeared and if I run JB4 for codes I get zero codes.

These spacers have exactly what the name implies, a mini-cat, it allows the ecu to get O2 readings within factory spec, hence no CEL light.

Either way for the cost of what they want for catted DP which is like 3 to 4k (which also include a slight performance penalty) I'd gladly rather have a CEL light and pay $350 for a catless DP. You could literally get an intake, catless DP, and midpipe with JB4 for cheaper then what these catted DPs are going for.

I've been sitting on my JB4 for a while and decided to install it today (xDrive M3) and 3 hours later I still haven't been able to finish because of that TMAP sensor. I was barely able to get the stock connector off, but it seems impossible get the JB4 harness all plumed up in line.

I've had JB4s on 4 prior cars some with tricky sensor locations, but this seems to be on an entirely different level. Not sure if xDrive is tighter to work with down there, or I'm just not using the right technic, but I'm at the point where I'm thinking it's not worth it if this is the on/off process every time. Anyone have any tips/tricks they want to share or was it just a giant struggle?

Just got the R44 titanium exhaust + dwnoipe and a JB4 for my 22 G80 M3 Comp X-drive. I was hoping someone could suggest which map to run with the exhaust setup on 91 and which map to run on an ethanol blend(and what blend I should target). Thanks!

Also, if it's possible now, can you take it somewhere so the maps can be dialed in or does it auto tune?

Map 0: Stock operation, JB4 disabled
Map 1: Default performance map, 3psi peak request over stock (suitable for all 91+ RM2 fuels)
Map 2: 4psi peak request over stock (91 -93 suggested)
Map 3: 22psi absolute boost target (93 - E30 suggested)
Map 4: 23psi absolute boost target (E30-E40 suggested)
Map 5: 25psi absolute boost target (E30-E40 suggested)
Map 6: User adjustable map. RPM1500 value of less than 5.7psi make entire map6 additive target based, value over 5.7psi make entire map6 absolute target based.
Map 7: water/meth progressive map -- under development
Map 8: Low boost / VALET map

You can run either map1 or map 2

Not more parts but better fueling, it says next to each map the octane needed for it
