Also if you hit the exhaust button it turns burbles completely off.
Drone is from the res delete + valves open. Same with S55 - when not under full load aka partial throttle/cruising @ low rpm it will drone like a beast when the valves are open. Hopefully a valve controller is released soon for you guys 🙏🏻

That's not the update I was hoping for my man
Lol it's less than 5% of the driving I do.

I'm not too worried about it.

It doesn't do any of the bad stuff with the valves in normal operation.

I'll probably just put my valves back to normal, that was perfect.

☝🏻Thats the move. Alot of these new mufflers are straight through in the valves open position to compensate for all the upstream restriction. I have long tube catted headers on my 718 spyder mated to the stock muffler and valves disconncted is brain splitting, whereas valves connected is silky smooth with zero point zero drone followed by race car around 4k rpm. The only downside is the volume transition but its a small price to pay for driveability IMHO. Just for clarity u are running the stock muffler right?

Yeah stock muffler.

A valve controller would be really nice because once you're out of efficient and in s+ valves open is pretty nice.

Also cold start is just obnoxious.

Just to clarify, you mean cold start is obnoxious with the valve mod you did, not obnoxious because of the res pull, yeah?

I did the **EXACT** setup as LBbluem2 without messing with the valves.
Yes, even with dual res delete and X, its far from over the top- actually, if anything I'd say trending underwhelming.

That being said, Sport+ decel in 2nd - 3rd is gorgeous as is starting her up cold. I would say up top is far from obnoxious. I dont see anyone being upset with this mod- I paid $270 - full stainless piping.

I will shoot some video to add to discussion as soon as weather/work/life permits.

All in all - very happy, wont be messing with valves. Take away I'd say is to not get greedy and stick with the res and X or H (my exhaust guy was anti H). This is a suitable band-aid until aftermarket is tried and true. I plan on yanking the charcoal filters and will try my best to be content for a while!

Just did a midpipe upgrade with aftermarket exhaust tips built by InkedCustom in Rottenbach, Germany. The secondary cats and resonators removed. More videos to follow, here’s a quick one for now until the weather gets better.

If you get a chance I'd love to see some more close drive by's in the upper rev range.

Res remove with a CAI is going to dramatically improve sounds from the exhaust and engine for pretty cheap. I get the res's pulled and xpipe added in two weeks and BMS said the CAI will be available end of June!!
