There are a bunch of HEA M's available in Canada (15+ on AutoTrader and a few not listed in public inventory in AB/BC). Definitely not sold out. Canadian dealers are much different than US dealers and test drives on new M cars is almost always a no-no. I've never personally gotten a test drive on a delivery mile M, in the last 12 years. Congrats anyway!

ya ive noticed that too.. guess depends on the specific stores. I've heard some GTA area dealers have unsold HEA cars still but like you said most likely no test drives! I've had some luck with test driving X3M/X4M in recent months but that's prob cuz they are such bad sellers and just stuck on lots

Well in Winnipeg, my dealer is giving away test rides in X3M, X5M, X6M. They had an X3M with almost 6k kms, they still have a 2020 with almost a 1000km on it.

I guess most people don’t care, but if am buying a new car, I would rather have one that has not been beaten up during the break in period. Even though I bought a 340i, I explicitly told them if it has over 20kms they can skip the deal.

I bought a Dravit Grey M340i in June... loving it although driving way less with covid. With the M3 Comps coming out I’m fairly tempted to upgrade. Does anyone have experience on changing over the lease with BMW? I was able to get 9% off, so a pretty decent deal, but not sure if they’ll stick me with fees or just no negotiation. My local dealer in Oakville didn’t have stock at the time so I bought mine in Montreal. If anyone has any experience let me know.

9% off MSRP on your 340??? That’s insane.

anyone here taken delivery yet? I see on some dealer IG page they had the first customer delivery today as expected.

Apparently mine is somewhere in transit now after a week of sitting at port in Halifax. should be soon now!

umm this early into a lease its gonna be an ice bath. The math is basically your lease buyout cost vs the wholesale price of the car

4.5% on mine ... imagine if you place an order now should have easier time to find a reasonable deal vs last fall

Got to see an M3 in all black today after testing out a 2021 M340 at my local BMW dealer. While I can't place an order yet... I did reserve my spot to build and order the AWD Comp once that's available to do later in the year. I ended up going that direction since my spec of M340 was close enough in price to my M3 spec. (Assuming XDrive isn't some outrageous charge)

couple EU based members floating around ~4k euro upcharge for AWD, obv these things dont translate linearly in FX terms to us, but I think the idea is it won't be the typical small upcharge for AWD in most cars

I wouldn't be shocked if the starting MSRP for AWD Competition models to be near 95k, as they stand the RWD models are relative bargains vs the direct competitors.

Can you recommend a dealer or sales rep to get that deal?

That's a great deal given that dealer mark up is somewhere between 6% - 7%. There must've been some great dealer incentives! Congratulations that is an awesome deal!

I have a deposit on an AWD M3. Still debating tho between that a Tesla M3P and the M340i. Will decide when the final pricing comes out.

Some interesting facts...

- insurance between the M3, M340i, and Tesla M3P is almost the same and $200 more than a brand new Audi S5 sportback

- the all-wheel-drive version may come out as a 2022 model which means you lose out on the four-year no charge maintenance. For 2022 coverage moves to three-year no charge

- of course the $25,000 difference between M3 and M340i

But then again an M car is an M car!

Time will tell I guess....

very nice.. did they give you a ballpark on how much AWD is gonna cost on top? If I had to guess, it's gonna start in the mid 90s but I'd rather be proven wrong in a positive way

So i test drove a Model 3 Performance during my shopping process, I think if you are very focused on acceleration esp city speeds or the 0-60, that car is the best bargain available hands down even with our inflated pricing for Teslas.

This was last summer so I took a pre-refresh model (with the gloss black trims) out, I found the material quality inside to be quite ok actually, what I didn't like was jamming everything into the central screen and no instrument cluster or HUD and zero redundant physical controls. That's just bad design and unsafe IMO.

Yea my insurance quote for the M4 is not that diff from what I pay now for the S4 shockingly enough...

on m340 vs m3, only you can answer how badly you want a true M ... M340 certainly outperformed all expectations this gen for a "just a faster 3 series"

Wow your insurance was the same as your S4??
That's interesting... mine was $300 over my 2018 S5 ($200 over a 2021 S5)

All three M3, M3P, and M340i were all in the same ballpark insurance wise and all were way over my S5. I'll have to look into that more.

Price wise for AWD, no one had anything definitive. $2000-$4000 is what everyone thinks.

haha well im under 30 and live downtown, with maybe a ticket or two on the record so working with a higher base line here lol, call it about $2700 annual premium

2k would be great pricing on AWD.. 4k i wouldnt be shocked either

I'm picking up my IOMG M3 this week

This is my first M-car, have been driving BMWs for a long while now though, most recently an X3 M40i, which was a lot of fun.
