That or it prioritizes better aero over better cosmetics Just kidding, obviously this is for the same people that mess with suspension geometry for a better "stance".
Lmao. I don't get people that lower their cars. Like what's the point? You're just ruining your car. Idk if people realize that bmw has actual experts that all they do all day is work on suspension and ride quality and calibrating the car so you can actually corner, and there you go buy a stupid kit to lower your car because they didn't get it right.
Hmm I wonder why bmw offers coilovers:
…or that BMW sold M2's brand new on the lot lowered on M-Performance coil overs.
So you're compering bmw m performance parts and setup with aftermarket stuff?
Yeah lmao kw designs their stuff.

I didn't know they started selling gt3 lmao

What's your opinion on BMW selling the F82 M3 GTS?
It comes standard (not an option, no way to change it) with KW suspension and the wrenches to adjust/lower/raise the dampers and height.

The same suspension we run in our cars aftermarket.

That was a special edition track focused car and they produced less then 1k.

All I'm saying is I don't get why people would worsen they're ride on their daily Ms. I guess people like looks over comfort. For me there's no point in changing anything in the car unless that's my track car. I'm not giving up ride quality over looks.

You do realize the M Performance suspension IS aftermarket stuff rebranded, right?!? Furthermore, your issue was with lowering cars, suggesting it's a pointless endeavor since BMW engineers spend countless hours tuning (…but failing to acknowledge that "off the lot" suspension tuning is a COMPROMISE, not necessarily the best option for outright performance).

Ah ok cool! And hey, we definitely respect that! Having a more comfortable ride is certainly understandable.

At the same time, having a firmer ride is also pleasurable to some (me included), and the looks of a lowered vehicle are certainly better most of the time (I'm in the "not slammed/stanced camp").

Just preferences and tastes.

Agreed! I prefer firmer over softer, lowered over raised, but I'm also not a stance guy either. I prefer modest drops, but drops nonetheless.

And who's buying these cars just for performance and nothing else? Who's saying I want the fastest lap time and nothing else matters? Maybe 10% of M owners.

So now you're moving the goal posts and back pedaling. Initially your argument was about "tuning" and the chassis dynamics magic on behalf of BMW's finest. When I rebutted that argument, you spun 180 degrees and are now claiming it's not about fastest laps (…and basically giving credence to the camp that lowers their cars for aesthetics in the process). So which is it?!? Do you even know where you stand?!?!? Make up your mind.

TL;DR - Asserted that lowering the car ruins BMW's expert chassis tuning (…e.g. performance), only to later claim that not everybody buys an M to extract the full performance potential.

No back paddling or moving posts lol. Like we agreed on earlier, in my personal opinion, lowering the car will ruin ride quality for the average user.

That's not a true statement by any means, especially with a properly paired shock/spring combo or a coil over kit.

you realize every CL or CLS model comes lower than standard model right? Ultimately its silly to turn a subjective preference into a matter of right or wrong. if you dont like it thats fine but plenty of people prefer a more firm ride and focused handling.

If you want a new BMW in the future, you better get used to this new design language because it is not going away. BMW obviously has grown tired of the tiny kidney grills they've been using far too long. Most other manufacturers have gone big on their grills as well. Just a change in design language across the industry.

I'm not a fan of any of these front splitter/spoilers that look like a bucket from a front loader.
