What are you worried about?

I have gone the other route where I had silver wheels and powder coated them black. They came out fantastic. Had no issues with them at all. This was for a B8.5 audi s4.

Worried I might regret it that's why I wanted to see if anyone did it. If I do regret it might be a little tuff to match the oem color with the inner being black

It'll be extra work for them but talk to your shop if they can revert back to the original look. Looks like you still like the OEM look. Maybe keep it the way they are and when you get tired of them change the color. Once changed you probably wouldn't want to go back to the original since you're already tired of them.

Try doing one wheel with the paint you can peel off to see if you like the look. $20 spent on a rattle can to check it out is not a bad investment.

I figured just to check out the look before you make it permanent. If you like it peel it off the one wheel and then have them powder coated.

I can visualize it with this picture. I think it would look good. Most of the powder coating places use Prismatic Powders, so you can go onto Prismatics site and pick a color. Check the colors on their site, and then google search the color, and it will show how the color looks on a wheel.

Here is Prismatics BMW Silver, just for reference. Heres a picture of "Clear Vision" over "BMW Silver" both Prismatic colors. Clear vision brings out the metallic in BMW Silver.
