Any video clips with just the 2 resonators deleted?
I don’t think I’ve seen any.

For those that have had their secondary cats removed, did you guys use the OEM flanges to connect to the downpipes or did you get new ones?

I'm looking for flanges only for a DIY project but not sure where to buy them from. Any guidance would be appreciated.

So I just got back from having mine replaced with a x pipe. Honestly, I was expecting a little more. There's a very, very small increase in decibels on throttle. A little more off throttle and more burbles. It's not a game changer but also not going to annoy my neighbors. Otherwise, still happy I did it.

Just dropped it off at my exhaust shop and handed him over cash. They are welded.

I’ve been trying to tell people how tame this set up still is! Glad you seem overall happy with it.

Thanks. Yeah. I just took a video and sounds better from outside. I don't have a YouTube, IG or Facebook account. Any other ideas on how to post a video on here?

How do you know that car has removed the resonators and not the secondary cats?

Man… you got me there in regard to video. Did you leave the secondaries in tact? I pulled those a month later and it made another slightly noticeable increase. Far from necessary, and yes, the sound deadening is either amazing or depressing on how you view it personally.

I think I figured out how to post a video. Again, this is with the VSC 2 Controller (valves open) and x pipe (deleted both resonators).

Warm start:

Cold Start (a lot louder)

Your vids sound nice. Since it seems you want a little bit more sound, have you considered deleting the secondary cats too? Sounds like that might be your best bet.

Appears as if I am done. I park in garage which is under my kids bedrooms and leave early for the gym. I was already yelled at this morning so can't push my luck.

He was really surprised.
Have any videos? So you're running second cats only and factory muffler? How's the smell?

Haven't had a chance to make a video yet. Yes. You only notice smell with windows down at standstill otherwise no smell during driving with windows up or down. It's pretty much the same with any cat-less DP.

Of course, just wasn't sure if the secondary cats still being there helped any with the smell.

Sorry about that, and thank you for sharing the vid.
It sounds great. I'll need to do this mod as soon as I get my car.

After reading through all the pages and multiple threads on this topic, has anyone done an H pipe for both or a combination of H or X on the first and a straight pipe on the second?

Has anyone done only a secondary cat delete? If so how much and what size piping? And personal thoughts?

I have the supersprint H pipe coming in a few weeks. Please correct me if I’m wrong but aren’t there basically three sections. Downpipes, mid pipe and rear section exhaust/muffler.

Not sure what size my guy used but it’s extremely loud with only secondary cat delete and x-pipe.

Good thing is I have the valve controller so it does get pretty quiet inside with it closed and ASD off

About 500-700 to build a whole new mid pipe, california price so cheaper for lot of people. My guy did a very good job

Mid pipe has the double resonator and the secondary cats

Downpipe has your primary cats

Axleback or slip ons are your muffler section.

Newer cars come with secondary cats and OPF which is why people are messing around with mid-pipes instead of catbacks like we used to 10 years ago. Makes sense because these cars come valved, which people wanted to do 10 years ago with boost or remote controlled cutouts.

Honestly G8X sounds pretty good, no nasty rasps for me even with no resonator
