Storing winter tires?

Hey guys,

First time swapping from performance to winter tires. I read online that performance tires can actually crack in the cold weather.

My garage isn't heated and this is where I thought I'd store my tires. My basement is heated is it ok to keep there? Or is the garage actually fine?

I keep mine in my unheated garage, totally fine in my experience over the past 15+ years.

I agree. I think as long as they are protected from the elements should be fine.

I've kept all my tires when I swap also in an unheated garage and no problems. Don't overthink. They'll be fine. 11 years not a single issue from that.
